AMP (Airborne Molecular Purification) technology powered by PuriFi, neutralizes indoor air pollutants using our patented cold plasma bipolar ionization process to continuously purify indoor air and surfaces of tested viruses, allergens, odors, and bacteria.*
Cold plasma bipolar ionization uses an electronic charge to create a cold plasma field filled with a concentration of positive and negative ions, the same ions commonly produced in nature. The charged ions interact with indoor airborne pollutants, oxidizing and breaking down air and surface contaminants.
However, not all ions are created equal. AMP technology, a part of the PuriFi Generator installed in your HVAC system’s air duct, uses our proprietary in-duct cold plasma energy core and high-voltage cold plasma process to generate ions. The result is a patented high-volume blend of ions known as RONS (Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species). PuriFi’s exclusive wave pattern technology creates significantly more of these reactive species into your system’s airflow for greater coverage and longer reactivity. Our oxygen-based species are 2x the concentration of typical ionizers, and our nitrogen-based species are 4x the concentration.
PuriFi’s fast-moving, long-life molecular ions travel through the ductwork, to every supply register, and into occupied rooms to begin the whole-building purification process, attacking particulates and pathogens in the air and on surfaces. These high-energy ions attract oppositely charged contaminants and use their oxidative impact to agglomerate into heavy clusters falling out of the breathing zone.
When the PuriFi RONS combine on a pathogen’s surface, they attack specific parts of the pathogen cell, whether airborne or surfaced, viral or bacterial. They rob the pathogen of the hydrogen bonds necessary to survive. These tiny ions deactivate the proteins, oxidize the lipids or fatty layer, and break the DNA strand, making the virus inactive.
AMP technology inactivates tested viruses and bacteria, effectively neutralizing odors while driving aerosols and particulates such as pollen, dust, and mold spores out of the breathing zone.
PuriFact: According to the CDC, airborne aerosols and particulates under 5 microns can contain viruses and bacteria and remain airborne in the breathing zone for up to 41 hours or more.
A one-micron contaminant moves 4/1000 of a meter per second. PuriFi molecular ions move 115x faster, actively seeking and attacking indoor pollutants.

At PuriFi Labs, our scientists and engineers have spent more than a decade of air purification research and development, resulting in our innovative AMP technology, the core of every PuriFi Generator product. We continue to expand our efforts through guidance and expertise in clinical and scientific excellence.
PuriFi Labs’ Scientific Advisory Board, comprised of prominent research leaders and pioneers in plasma physics, has released testing guidelines developed to simulate real-world environments to analyze real-world efficacy. Their expertise will guide researchers in advancing real-world efficacy testing of duct-mounted air-cleaning devices. These science-based facts will help standardize methods for testing used in comparing the real-world efficacy of various technologies such as UV, ionization, air filtration, and ventilation against airborne pathogens and particulates.
AMP technology is the first of its kind to be chosen for extensive test method development research by the Environmental Protection Agency. Tested under highly rigorous HVAC mechanical conditions, PuriFi will assist the EPA in standardizing test methods for all ductmounted and in-room air purification devices. Standardized testing will better assess how these products can improve our indoor air quality (IAQ).
PuriFi Labs is committed to specific testing conditions and parameters that simulate the world we live in. Validating the effectiveness of indoor air quality devices involves replicating realworld environments and HVAC mechanical conditions to ensure products are installed and tested the same way they will be used. This kind of validation gives assurance of real-time protection in real-world spaces.
Lab tests performed in real-world environments validate that PuriFi AMP technology actively reduces particulates and pathogens in the air and on surfaces, including the Covid-19 virus and its variants.

Combining our automated controls and IoT expertise with our breakthrough AMP technology,
Purifi Labs delivers responsive indoor air management that proves its performance in real-time.
PuriFi is the only automated air quality management system to monitor, measure, and continuously improve indoor air quality (IAQ). Our active response system communicates realtime data of indoor particulate levels then actively responds to IAQ changes while verifying your air is clean, confirming the system’s performance.
The PuriFi IQ Generator, installed in your HVAC system’s air duct, purifies indoor air using our patented AMP technology and the HVAC system’s fan during heating, cooling, and ventilation cycles. When a PuriFi in-room sensor detects a change in IAQ, it notifies the PuriFi Smart Hub to signal the Generator to respond until the Sensor verifies the air is purified and within your target air quality levels. When heating or cooling is off and particulate levels are high, the Generator actively responds using the fan only, providing energy-efficient purification.
PuriFi Labs brings together decades of expertise in air purification, automated control systems, IoT, and multiple projects completed for NASA and the United States Department of Defense. With our broad range of capabilities and expertise, PuriFi Labs currently has fifteen patents filed, with ten awarded and five pending.
